The French Authorities gave the city gold medal to a person who barbarically ordered her members to set themselves ablaze in public to show their protest to her arrest in France in 2003.

The people of France may well remember that in 2003 the police through a well-organized attack to 13 MOK' bases arrested Maryam Rajavi, the head of the clan's National Resistance Council, together with 165 high ranking members of this Council. They were accused of different counts of vile acts such as terrorist acts against the Embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Europe, money laundering, and terrorizing its members who had planned to defect from the MKO.

After the arrest the newspaper 'The New York Times' in an article analyzed the arrest pointing out that the aim of the arrest was to ban the transfer of the Political-Executive center of the MKO from Iraq to France. The official responsible for the France Intelligence Service in an interview with the said newspaper said that from the last autumn his Office had noticed the entrance of an increasing number of MKO members to France. He said that after the beginning of Iraq's war they   noticed that the MKO' militia rented a deserted paint producing factory in the city of Saint Queen Lamon, changed it into a TV studio, and by the help of satellite dishes began to interchange intelligence services.

The MKO has never been recognized as a political and democratic entity, and never has it contemplated reviving democracy in Iran. The group is an extremist cult lacking any democratic policy following blindly the absolute orders of their leader who had planned to attack the Iranian Embassies and premises abroad, and to terrorize as well 25 of its ex-members.

The comments made by the senior French official make it clear that the said Resistance National Council is affiliated to the  MKO which is long recognized as a terrorist group the world over.

At the time of arrest the French officials produced documents and harsh evidence elaborating on the close link of this Council, headed by Maryam Rajavi, with the terrorist MKO. Through the documents shown to the world by French authorities in 2003, all the European countries recognized the MKO as a terrorist cult having killed thousands of innocent people in and out of Iran.

The arrest of 2003 directly led by Nicolas Sarkozy, the then Foreign Minister, has now been all forgotten letting the terrorist group be busy with their clandestine acts in French territory, and, more surprisingly, the leader of this cult is presented with the French city medal as well. The MKO is now fully active in France, and some of the French local authorities appreciate their acts, and once in the presence of Maryam Rajavie inaugurated a hall labeled Tehran and presented her with the city gold medal. The French authorities have forgotten that the person presented with the medal is the one who mercilessly ordered her followers to set themselves on fire in order to attract the attention of the French officials. The order was executed,  and some the helpless members of this cult became the victim of their leader setting themselves ablaze in front of some   Parliaments and Ministries in France and Europe.

One may be surprised that if the civilized message is to be conveyed through self-burning, how critical their protest could be through arm bearing. The sort of protest that made a lot of innocent Iranian and Iraqi people suffer through acts of terrorism  which attracted the attention of the French and world authorities to the vile and savage act.

Anybody to be negligent of minor problems should be destined  to face major disasters. France and other European countries are not the exception. They are protecting the group that do not obey any conventional rules, and at any time they may show their protest, through their terrorist acts, to a law passed or a court verdict announced in European territories.

Presenting Maryam Rajavie with the French city gold medal have certainly shocked the French people who vividly remember the 2003 event, and are shockingly bewildered between the two extreme acts of behavior.
